of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb or in the Historic Egyptian Theatre in Downtown DeKalb.

Fall Concert - Musical Masterpieces of Spain

When: Friday, October 3, 2008, 7:30 p.m.
Where: NIU Boutell Concert Hall

"Musical Masterpieces of Spain"
Treat yourself to the romantic sounds of Spain as the KSO performs selections from the famous opera, Carmen, and music from Falla’s The Three Cornered Hat.  Featured will be the renowned Northern Illinois University faculty guitarist, Fareed Haque, performing the haunting Concierto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo.

Benefit Concert -

"The KSO at the Movies" An array of motion-picture music, such as from Superman, Star Wars, Phantom of the Opera, Schindler's List, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Psycho, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, Adagio for Strings, Harry Potter, and The Simpsons.

Holiday Pops Concert

"Winter Wonderland" A variety of holiday favorites.

ADM Young Artists Concerto Competition Concert

When: Sunday, March 1, 2009
Where: NIU Boutell Concert Hall

Danse Bacchanale: Saint-Saens Symphony No. 3 ("Eroica"): Beethoven - Plus a performance by this year's Arthur D. Montzka Young Artists Concerto Competition Winner(s).

Children's Concert

When: March 2009
Where: Egyptian Theatre

A concert, by invitation, for groups of school children from the region.

Spring Concert

Symphony No. 6 in A Minor (“Tragic”): Mahler
